Overview

Waspeen is a bulky, defensive support that likes to take games very long and leverage the healing given from its trait Royal Jelly and technique Swarm Aid. It doesn't allow for much in the way of offensive scaling, but is a reliable defensive pivot.

Waspeen may just be the slowest-paced tem in the game, opting for grindy, gradual gains over a match that lasts 15+ turns over ending games quickly. Its Royal Jelly trait provides a constant stream of HP for Waspeen and its ally, while its moveset allows it to easily protect the tem next to it. Unfortunately, Waspeen's incredible statistical bulk is offset by one of the worst defensive typings in the game, and its offensive capabilities are almost non-existent.

Waspeen makes a great pivot, despite the aforementioned weaknesses. It can serve two main goals: providing the Evasion status to neutral tems using Generify, or disrupting the opponent's gameplan with gears like Mom's Lunch or Refreshing Diabolo. It can also provide some offensive value with ATK investment and Crystal Bite, though Crystal Deluge is pretty useful beside Mental tems.

Waspeen makes a great ally beside bulky neutrals like Yowlar, and can also protect support tems like Kinu while they get holds up on their own defensive moves. A special shout-out to Superconductivity Volgon - many of Waspeen's techniques are more powerful if synergies are activated on them, and Waspeen can use its Royal Jelly trait even while paralyzed by Ampere Outburst.
